The D.F. Seard (sic) residence was recorded on this property in 1873. Later, C.R. Soward was the owner of this ell-shaped tract (130 acres). Finally, the Mary M. Soward residence was recorded in 1921.

Farm residence, T-plan, two stories, wood frame and weatherboard construction, coursed tooled stone foundation, gable roof. Front shed porch, bay window SW, 2/2 wooden double-hung windows, glazed wooden entrance door, brick central,interior and end chimney E. Ornamental porch and bay window moldings. Alterations--modern siding, shed addition and modern extension NE.
