March 21, 1929 - EPWORTH LEAGUE PARTY
Last Friday evening the Epworth League gave a St. Patrick's Day party at the church. There were 30 young people out and all enjoyed a well-planned evening. The feature of the evening was the "weighing in" at a penny per each 10 pounds, with one cent additional charge for each odd pound. Clarence Stamp paid the largest amount and Edna Mae Hartzell the smallest. Both the refreshment and game committee did splendid work and all reported a fine time.
December 13, 1934 - Miss Fern Pendleton entertained the members of her Sunday school class, Monday evening, with a party at the Methodist church. The evening was spent in games and contests. The guests included Barbara Goodrum, Rosemary Jackman, Geraldine Fawl, Evelyn Landis, Donis Marney, Maxine Miller, Irene Countryman, Doris Johnson, Clyde Hartzell, Stanley Parr, Gerald Binney, Everett Whearty, Leonard Dodge and Lloyd Hawks.
