1977 Rossville Bible Church news, Rossville, Kansas
Description
"The Enemy" to Be Shown in Rossville
Films like "The Exorcist" have met with much negative uproar across North America. To the contrary, however, a film on the same theme, titled "The Enemy," is receiving enthusiastic commendation and accolades from clergymen in many denominations.
The seventy-minute color feature film will be shown at the Rossville Christian Church on Saturday, July 30, at 8 p.m.
"The Enemy," adapted from the
book by the same title, accurately reenacts the actual experience of a young couple who served as youth sponsors in their local church. Because they prefer anonymity, the real names of those involved are not used in the film.
The young couple, through their youth group activities, encounter two teenage boys whose strange behavior turns out to be demon possession. How they deal with the problem makes "The Enemy" a film of a strategic significance to all Christians.
Also featured on the evening's program will be a discussion.
Special Speaker
At Bible Church
Rev. Steve Gee, Dean of the Bible Truth Institute, Sunbury, Pa., will speak at both Sunday services July 24, at the Rossville Bible Church in Rossville. The morning service begins at 11 a.m., and the evening meeting at 7:30 p.m.
Rev. Gee, who is a nephew of the local Bible Church pastor, Rev. Floyd Gee, has spoken at other times at the church, and has proved to be an interesting speaker. A cordial invitation to attend is extended to all.
