This commercial block and the adjacent property (B29) are two of the oldest major commercial buildings in Baldwin City. It was standing by 1886. It was a jewelry store (1912) and a printing shop (1927). The IOOF lodge owned the property from 1886 until c. 1910. The facade is illustrated in the 1908 Souvenir. The building housed a bank from 1893-1905 with a hall on the second floor.
Description
Commercial building in a row, rectangle, two stories, brick and stone masonry, flat roof and parapet. Rear walls are rubble stone with cut sandstone lintels and ?. Facade substantially altered, modern entrance, brick and frame storefront, with stucco panels second floor.
