This house was probably constructed between 1902 and 1904. Fletcher B. Hunt was recorded as the owner of lots 132-134-136 with a value of $100 in 1902. The assessed value increased to $400 in 1904. When Hunt sold the west half of lot 134 and all of lot 136 to W. C. Haines in 1906, the property value was $260. Hunt, a clerk and his wife Edith were listed as residing south of the city in 1902.

Description

Detached residence, irregular plan with side entrance, two stories, wood frame and weatherboard, coursed rough-cut stone foundation, main hipped roof with gable bays. Circular entrance porch on turned posts, 1/1 double-hung wooden windows, glazed wooden entrance door, interior brick chimney. Decorative porch spindlework, window head molding and gable end shingling. Rear addition with concrete foundation and second story enclosed sleeping porch.
