There was a residence in this location when the property (160 acres) was recorded as the T. Hughes farm in 1873. T. F. Hughes was the owner in 1902 and 1909. By 1921, the property owner was the Tandy Hughes estate.

Farm residence, T-plan, two stories, wood frame and weatherboard, rusticated concrete block foundation, two hipped roof. Front hipped porch on columns, rear shed-roofed screened porch partially enclosed, 2/2 wooden double-hung windows, glazed wooden entrance door, interior brick chimney. Decorative friezeboard and eave brackets.
