The James Schields residence was recorded on this property (160 acres) in 1873. Later in 1902 it was known as the "Wellstock Farm". Byron Schields was the owner in 1909 and 1921.

Farm residence, T-plan, two stories, wood frame and weatherboard, rough-cut stone foundation, gable roof. Front shed porch, 1/1 wooden double-hung windows, wooden entrance door, cellar entrance S. two interior brick chimneys. Ornamental caps on corner boards. Modern one-story rear shed addition.
