Subject
It appears that this building was constructed after John Moorhead bought the property from J.G. Schnebly in 1892. The valuation increased from $200.00 to $575.00 in 1893. The building was a post office and office with a printing shop in the rear and a hall on the second floor. The post office was located here until after 1927. When the building was illustrated in the 1908 Souvenir, it had a Romanesque rather than the present classical facade.
