Robert and Richard Pearson had the first land claims in southeastern Douglas county. Robert Pearson acquired this property in 1880. Reportedly the house was built in 1889 and the shed addition constructed about 1915. A nineteenth century barn on this property burned about 1975. The present resident is a descendant of Robert Hall Pearson.
Description
Residence, rectangle with hall and parlor plan, shed end addition W, two stories, 2/3 front bays, wood frame and weatherboard construction, stone foundation, side gable roof. Shed front porch, 2/2 wooden double-hung windows, glazed wooden entrance door, central interior brick chimney.
