On April 12,1991 at 7 p.m., we plan to show a film entitled "Sheffey." This two and one-fourth hour film originates from Unusual Films, Greenville, So. Carolina. The film is the true story of a man by the name of Robert S. Sheffey who lived from 1820 to 1902. Sheffey was an itinerant preacher who traveled on horseback, preaching the Gospel of Christ nearly a century ago.
The name Robert Sheffey still rings from the hollows and the hill tops where he rode. People there still repeat the tales of how "Brother Sheffey" gave away his socks, his horse, and his heart as he spread the light of the Gospel. He was ardent in prayer, tireless in service, and stead¬fast in his defense of the truth. As a youth, Robert Sheffey had followed his rowdy friends to a revival meeting for all the wrong reasons, and found new direction for his life in the words of the scriptures. In his Christian life, he suffered the loss of his two greatest earthly treasures on the same day and still found forgiveness in his heart for the one who had caused his sorrow.
We invite all those interested in seeing "Sheffey" to make plans now to join us on Friday, April 12. "Sheffey" is a story worth telling and a story worth seeing. Please join us for this film as our guest.
Thank You!
