Description

[top picture caption] THE FRIENDLY CIRCLE CLASS of the Rossville United Methodist Church was organized in 1920 by Mrs. Mollie Hartzell. The class meets once a month for dinner and quilting. Some of the ladies quilt three times a week. Last year, the class completed 14 quilts, and always have a list of people wanting quilts quilted. The class used to meet in the homes of members, but now meets in the church.
Pictured around the table, L-R, are Myrtle Lillard, Anna Strimple, Edna Bush, Golda Cottle, Fern Sage, Velda O'Donnell, Louise Lewelling, and Berniece French. Standing are Greta Kelsey and Opal Terrill. Lydia Stremple is not pictured. Quilting is one of the projects the ladies share to earn money for their church.
