Vern and Verbal Isenhower were long standing members of the Louisburg Community. Married for 81 years until the death of Verbal in 2010.
Vern and Verbal moved to Louisburg in 1945 where he was livestock manager for Kay Ranch. He retired from working in 1977 from Reno Construction Company and was a member of the Construction Industry Teams Union.
Vern and Verbal's passion was horses and gardening.
In 2017 Vern was presented with a key to the city of Louisburg and was known as the Tomato Man.
