The Ledger reported May 18, 1908 that Mr. Zimmerman was locating phones in Baldwin. "Everything points to the speedy culmination of the project to have phones". Although this building was standing before 1912, by 1919 F.M. and J.H. Campbell had acquired the property for use as a telephone exchange

Detached commercial building, rectangle with central entrance, two stories, three front and side bays, brick front and wood frame side walls, low gable roof, 6/1 double-hung windows, recessed paneled wooden entrance door with sidelight. Modern shake shingle side & gable end sheathing.
