Subject

This structure is one of a group of masonry buildings constructed in 1900. Small frame buildings occupied the lots at the NE corner of Seventh and High as late as May, 1899. G.B. Lanning sold this property to IOOF Lodge #31 in 1900. The two-story brick building illustrated in the 1908 Souvenir was occupied by Weaver's dry goods store and a second floor printing shop in 1905.

Description

Corner commercial building in row, rectangle, one story, three front bays with oblique entrance, one side bay, brick, flat roof, triple display windows in wood frame between cast iron posts, paired glazed wooden entrance doors with overhead transom. Rear wood frame shed addition. Second story removed (1978).
