According to the current resident, the earliest dwelling on this property, "the homestead shack" remains from the late 1860's. The existing residence was cronstructed in 1904 to replace a house destroyed by fire. The first horse barn was constructed in the 1880s. A milking barn and feeding barn were built in the early twentieth century. Since the new "horse barn" was completed in 1926it was not needed for horses and has been used as a hay barn.
