Auggie spends his days in the children's area allowing children to read to him and learn responsibilities of animal care. He is loved by all.

In 2013, students enjoyed multiple art projects over the course of a week. These students got to broaden their art portfolio with new mediums, ideas, and materials.

Baptiste Peoria. Born in Ill. 1800. Indian Chief First Pres. of the Paola Town Company. Once owned the land on which Paola is located. Came to Kans. 1846. When the tribes removed [to] the Indiant Ter. he went with the[m and] died there in 1874.

WA Heiskell came to Paola KS in 1854. In 1855 was elected to the house of Repres., in 1856 Co. Clk of Lykins (now Miami) Co. Ks. Was among the first Reg. of deeds, remained a citizen of Paola until his death in 1870.
