Small frame buildings occupied the lots at the NE corner of Seventh and High as late as May, 1899. Then G.B. Lanning acquired a tract approximately 94X 140 feet. He sold two parcels on the west (B21). This building housed a bakery c. 1905-1912. Lanning sold to Cassius E. Lockwood in 1904. Lockwood 's bakery was listed in the 1903 city directory. By 1908 C.W. Mitchner operated the Bon Ton Bakery in this location. Lockwood owned the property until c. 1930.
